Most of the items I feature on this blog are from my personal collection and are not for sale. Occasionally I make exceptions for pieces that might duplicate or be similar to something I already own. This is the case with both the items I’m featuring here today, each of which can be ordered in the store. The early-bird gets the worm on these as they’re both one-of-a-kind.
Item #1: Fountainbleau Menu (1968)
Frank Sinatra is the real main course in this 4 page 7-1/2″ x 9-3/4″ 1968 menu from Miami Beach’s famous Fontainbleau Hotel.
Frank was shooting LADY IN CEMENT by day and singing in the La Ronde by night. I like this one because it has some of the stylistic elements of my favorite promo pieces produced by the Sands.
Item #2: Los Angeles Sheriff’s Association Benefit Featuring The Rat Pack (1960)
It isn’t often you find promotional pieces featuring Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis and Peter Lawford AND Shirley MacLaine. This benefit for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Association took place at the Los Angeles Coliseum on June 24, 1960.
